How far is Clayton hotel City of London from Aldgate East Tube Station?

The hotel is adjacent to Aldgate East Tube station (Approximately 2 mins) and is conveniently accessible to the District/Hammersmith & City lines.

Take exit 1 from the station towards Toynbee Hall and take the stairs to the left. Cross the street at the traffic lights by Leman Street and walk straight down and the hotel is the white marble building located on the right-hand side.

How Do I Get to the Aldgate Tube Station From Clayton hotel City of London?

Aldgate Tube Station is a 6 minutes walk from the Hotel and is on the Circle line between Tower Hill and Liverpool Street. It also gives access to the Metropolitan line.

Exit station, cross the street and walk left, past Aldgate East station and the hotel is on the left-hand side.

Getting to the Whitechapel station From Clayton hotel City of London

Whitechapel station is 12 minutes’ walk northeast of the hotel. From this station, you can access the District line, Hammersmith & City as well as London Overground services.

Getting to our hotel couldn’t be simpler: take the DLR at London City Airport Station (towards Stratford International); alight at West Ham to change onto the District Underground line (direction Ealing Broadway) to Aldgate East Station which is adjacent to our building.

London Heathrow Airport

Heathrow Airport terminals are easily accessible and only a 15-minute train journey from Paddington Station, located on the Hammersmith & City line. Paddington Station is 24 minutes on the Underground to Aldgate East station, adjacent to the hotel.

London Stanstead Airport

The Stansted Express runs daily, every 15 minutes from Liverpool street St, which is 4 minutes by tube from Aldgate East St on the Hammersmith & City line or 13 minutes’ walk from the hotel.

Liverpool Street Station is just 1 stop from Aldgate East Station, adjacent to our building, on the Hammersmith & City line. You can easily walk to Liverpool Street Station in 10 minutes.

Most other mainline stations are easily reached by direct Underground services to Aldgate East Station including King’s Cross & St Pancras (20 minutes, Hammersmith & City line), Paddington (27 minutes, Hammersmith & City line), Blackfriars (14 mins, District line) and Victoria (23 minutes on either District or Circle lines). Other mainline stations just need one change.
